We hope this early-February update finds you all safe and healthy. This is an exciting time of year with the official start of the track & field season just over three weeks away. Below you will find many updates on behalf of the IATC.
IATC Indoor Meet: The seven member IATC Board of Directors met earlier this week and held comprehensive discussions concerning the 2021 IATC Indoor Championship Meet. Due to facility unavailability and COVID regulations & concerns, the Board voted to cancel this meet for 2021. We are hopeful to host the event again in 2022.
IATC Mike Henderson Middle School State Track & Field Meets: These meets are tentatively set for Saturday, May 8th at locations to be determined. We will release more information when we have host sites finalized.
IATC Sr. Spotlight Meet/MS & HS Pentathlon: Both of these events are tentatively set for Saturday, June 5th at Iowa City West High School. We will release more information as it becomes finalized.
Membership Update/Awards: Just a friendly reminder that in order for your student-athletes and coaches to be eligible this spring for Academic All-State, All-State, Elite All-State, and Coach of the Year awards; your school must be a current and paid member of IATC. Schools that have paid for their 2020-2021 IATC Membership can be found HERE.
College/University Membership: The IATC currently has five college/university level members for 2020-2021 We would like to thank the University of Dubuque, Wartburg College, Simpson College, St. Ambrose University, and Loras College for their membership. We are working to build a specific webpage/link to highlight these programs that can be found HERE.
