I hope this update finds you all safe and healthy. This is an exciting time of year. Below you will find many updates on behalf of the IATC.
IATC Indoor Meet: The IATC is set to host the 2023 IATC Indoor Championships on Thursday, March 9th (girls) and Friday, March 10th (boys). The meet information packet can be found on our website www.iowarunjumpthrow.com. 1A/2A girls will start competition at 9am on Thursday with the 3A/4A girls starting at 3:15pm. The 1A/2A boys will start competition at 9am on Friday with the 3A/4A boys starting at 3:15pm. Any questions concerning the meet entries should be emailed to infoiatcchamps@gmail.com
IATC Mike Henderson Middle School State Track & Field Meets: These meets are set for Saturday, May 6th. The girls meet will be hosted by and held at Waukee Northwest (655 N 10th St). The boys meet will be hosted at Waukee High School (555 SE University Ave.). Meet information can be found on our IATC website HERE.
IATC Sr. Spotlight Meet/MS & HS Pentathlon: Both of these events are tentatively set for Saturday, June 3th at Iowa City West High School. We will release more information as it becomes finalized.
IATC Spring Meeting: The IATC will be hosting our annual Spring Meeting (in-person only) at Iowa City West High School on Sunday, June 4th at 9:00am.
Membership Update/Awards: Just a friendly reminder that in order for your student-athletes and coaches to be eligible this spring for Academic All-State, All-State, Elite All-State, and Coach of the Year awards; your school must be a current and paid member of IATC. Schools that have paid for their 2022-2023 IATC Membership can be found HERE.

25 and 50 Year Coaching Awards: April 1st is the deadline for submitting 25 and 50 Year Coaching Award nominations. More information on these awards can be found HERE. Criteria of requirements include:
-Must have coached for 25 (or 50) years in the sport(s) of track & field and/or cross country
-Must have coached in Iowa for the 25 or 50 years
-Can only count schools’ calendar years not seasons (i.e coaching track & field and cross country in 2022-2023 school year does not count as 2 years)
-Can coach either high school, middle school/junior high, or any combination as head and/or assistant coach
-Years must be while contracted (paid coach; years as a volunteer coach do not count towards the criteria)
