New Elite Open Event to be Run

The Drake Relays has always been a showcase for some of the best high school track and field athletes in the country, and in 2023, the meet is introducing an exciting new event: the Elite High School Boys and Girls Mile. The event takes place during the Friday evening session.

This event will feature some of the top high school milers in the nation, competing against each other on the iconic blue oval at Drake University.
